    Hi guys,

I have been semi active on the Alloy Avenue forum for years, be see that the focus has shifted across to here. took me a while to get logged in here, so a big thanks to Admin for sorting that out for me.

I posted a quick video tour of my foundry set up here:

On top of hobby casting, I also have a pretty decent machine shop set up in the basement, with a MAHO MH400E CNC mill converted to LinuxCNC,

    Thanks.
I posted the retrofit of my MAHO MH400E CNC machine from a 1986 Phillips 432 controller to LinuxCNC with the Gmccapy GUI here on the LinuxCNC forum. Once the retrofit was up and running, I keep the thread running as kind of a rambing blog of my quest to convert metal into swarf and scrap.

The second episode of my Mini-Lathe project got uploaded yesterday.

The Mini-lathe is a pretty good candidate for learning to scrape. The ways are small enough that you make constant progress, and it is light enough that you don't need lifting equipment to turn it over.

I started to watch the mini-lathe video.
    I will finish it today.
So far I can definitely relate to starting on project after another.
That seems to be the story of my life.

I go through phases of starting too many projects and rarer phases of finishing fewer projects.
