Buy the right stuff. Vacuum pump oil has very low vapor pressure. If you don't, it will consume oil and worse, backward diffuse to your investment.

Thanks, I couldn't find a sure thing locally so I have some from Rio Grande coming in.

Thanks Jason, I appreciate your eagerness/experience helping us slaggers.

I had two different units that I almost bought. The first ended up faulty which I had to give back. The second one was being sold with some promises that couldn't be confirmed that would have cost me four hours and a lot of driving to learn what the real deal was = pass.
Covid has sucked up a lot of equipment. Both costs/time made buying a Tabletop burnout kiln easy. So I'll be good to go soon.
It's a crap shoot out there.

OK. Finally had time to complete one project.

Silicon Bronze shines up pretty nicely.

Good job.. Paint the inside with some clear nail polish, it will help with the green fingers.. a little.

    It's painted on thanks.
If it lasts a week in this summer heat I'll be surprised....but I'll know soon enough.

I'm looking into "Nikolas #2105 Clear Silver Lacquer."
It's made for jewelry. I hope it comes in small/cheap bottles.
