I weight around 8 1/2 stone Jason, it's fish and chips I need!!!!!!! (With a salad on the side). I need to put on at least 2 stone to be fighting weight.

The docs are now arguing because I shouldn't have been released from A&E, such fun.

The message stands, we only get one lump of flesh, look after it (especially any youths and stupid old sods like me that think you can run this frame to the edge)

Cheers David, It's not luck, just sh*t happens.

While the consultants argue about who did what when I'm planning my half century on Friday, and then making a new plan moving forward

I would forward an address for birthday presents but that might get Jason excited!!!!

    Take care chaps.

    Good Morning!
2 days without food? A bit of a flag there I would think. That is of course if you generally have a "normal" intake.
Regardless, do take heed and here's wishing you a speedy recovery.
Thinking on, it's amazing how we can all become medical specialists when reviewing others ailments and yet we/I continue to abuse and neglect our own state.
    Chin up, John

Thanks all. Apparently 203/138 is not a good resting BP LOL! Time to get the push bike out and get back some some cardio.
I'll ask our local pub landlord how he gained his rotund figure and take some tips on weight gain. :)

The Mk1 flies today in a battle of Britain memorial with a bunch of that spitfire junk and a few red arrows for company, might have to trot down to a depressing seaside town to watch.
In other news my daughter passed her driving test so I now have another heap of french junk to keep on the road...

Look on the bright side.... you now have a "free" taxi to get you home from the local.
On that note, how are things with your health issues?
    Enjoy your day in Clacton!

You knew it was Clacton John! Well it was a good show and I didn't get stabbed! Although at £6 a pint it felt like it!

You can't beat the Red Arrows for their displays, amazing planning, I kind of hoped they would ditch the Hurricane somewhere so we could get another rebuild job but on the other hand (apart from the pilots good health) I'm not sure I'm ready for another rebuild just yet! I'm not sure if Anna was flying but at 60 she can still chuck those things around.

My health is better, thanks, my free taxi is too busy exploring her new Independence to indulge me (which is good, we are pretty remote here and the young lass needs a life outside a village full of carrot crunchers ;)

At least they haven't burnt the pier down! (Yet). Postal address. 1 North Sea. if I remember correctly.
I spent the day at the funeral of an ex RAF friend yesterday.
6 quid a pint? I remember the good old days when I could get a pint AND a bag of crisps, almost said chips there, for a fiver. What is going on?

    I'm sorry about your friend.

You are quite right about the pier address, Clacton isn't a place I would choose to spend a lot of time at though, I think half the local yobs would need instructions on a match box so I think the pier is safe for now ;)

The beer was that cold watery gassy crap, I actually left half a pint (Yes, shock horror!)

  17. Hi Peedee.
I have just found this thread today. It mentioned WW2 fighter planes so I thought you might like to see a picture of mine. Before I post the picture I hope you are well on the road to recovery.
    pic 5.jpg

Well.... A bit of it, actually, most of the body, is the skin from a WW2 spitfire. Supposedly. The lady in the picture was my good friend, Lorna, who died 3 years ago. She left me this car 'Tily' in her will. She bought the car in 1958 from the student who converted it from a standard A7. He told Lorna that he got the metal from a spitfire that was being scrapped, a common thing in the 50s. Lorna didn't have a full licence at the time, only a provisional. She was stopped often by the police who questioned her age and wanted to see her provisional. They never asked her husband to show his licence fortunately, he didn't have one. When he left the RAF after the war, he had been a navigator in Lancaster bombers, his eyesight deteriorated and he didn't learn to drive. When Lorna passed her test in 1959 she drove the car to what was then Czechoslovakia. He husband navigated. In 1960-ish they bought a saloon Austin Seven to use during the winter. Lona still had both her cars when she passed away, her first and second cars. She left them both to me. I restored Tily 10 years ago. I didn't find any bullet holes!

I'm sorry to hear of your friends passing. Glad you were passed the cars as an enthusiast. What a wonderful piece of history

The wonder of the Hurricane was the bullet went right through the irish linen skin for the most part, the wings and tanks were more of a problem...

My health is better thank you for asking.

    More to come I hope......

I like binge watching TV programs, and all 178 episodes of the "PEEDEE does stuff to make the rest of us jealous" show. ;-)

I can only imagine all the rivet bucking....Sheesh, I think doing 4 rivets in a leather case is a gripe....hahaha

Well, happy belated birthday. 50 years old you say?? ((Youngster))

I do hope you are feeling better and eating right. Or, hell, just eating would be good. I would be very happy to loan you about 50 pounds. No need to even thank me....

    Be well friend!
