Is this induction furnace a good choice ?

    There are have been quite a few Chinese sourced units available in that power and price range but that one looks a bit more refined, and is offered in two frequency ranges. I do notice it being advertised as Euro voltage (220vac) and that likely means 50Hz. At 25amps, seems very manageable for a home/hobbyist environment. Not sure how it would handle the US version at 240/60. Probably not an issue for you but may be for a US based hobbyist viewing this thread. Any other import issues/costs? Even at 2.2 kg of copper, still a bit smallish for me but if you primarily make smaller parts, I agree, it does look attractive. You might find these threads interesting.
