I am new at casting. Zapins is teaching me although the bumm is leaving and I have a short time to learn from the master

I am testing out the forum features

Comments welcome. A little nerve wrecking

There is a lot of depth here, and I am sure one or more people can offer some useful suggestions.

    Welcome.
    Did the casting turn out?

Looks like I need to send someone some ingot molds for pigging out. PM me an address and I'll call it your christmas present. I promise not to mail you a BP.

So whats the plan? Artsy fartsy stuff? Car parts?

Man I don’t know. I am just getting started. A little of both. More practical stuff though. Wine goblins stuff

He's cool! Congrats on you first piece. I did a jewelry box for my first piece. Kept the wife happy because she thought I went nutz with all the crazy shit associated with bronze work.

  19. Been there and done that while wearing a nylon tee shirt. Add MIG welding while wearing shorts while sitting on your haunches to your list.....yow! second degree sunburn to some delicate areas is hard to forget 30 years later.

Oh yeah, first time I mig welded I was wearing a wife beater shirt and welded for about 1 and a half hours. Ohh the armpit sunburn...

Only ever caught my arm sleeve on fire with the grinder haha. The pants are great. Hahaha.
