We got several inches of ice and snow the other day, and even more today. At this point I would have to shovel my way out to the shed to do some castings. That indoor casting thing is looking better and better (just kidding, I would not try it for numerous safety reasons, other than perhaps an electric melt). I am ready for some of that global warming to kick in.
Yeah. The weather is crazy this winter... After the temps jumped up and almost all our snow vanished on Friday AM, within 24h we had even more snow than we started out with! Sure glad I have a snow blower to clear the driveway. Now they are calling for above freezing temps this weekend again... Jeff
Exactly why I've lived in Florida for the past 42 years. The change of seasons and snow are great,,,,,, As long as I don't have to deal with them. I grew up in the north so I do feel for you snowbirds. And if we get a few days of cooler weather that's ok because it doesn't stay around for long. Love my year around sunshine, warm weather and fishing.
No need for a furnace down here, we have warm weather. Your more than welcome to play with the keg furnace if ya want to fry a few neighborhood pussycats.
Its what I found this morning before I left for work. There's a reason I avoid visiting family in Western PA this time of year...
Glad you were able to pull through that. I know the guys from the north are laughing, but we just don't get much of the white stuff down here, thank goodness. I think I could live without it altogether and just admire it in postcards from afar.
My Front Yard today... I have 2 new crucibles that are still in the box waiting for spring! This is Ohio... not Alaska.
Charlotte got our mandatory snow event for the year! We actually got a historic 4". Pretty sure it will be gone by the weekend. Somebody liked it though... Robert
Should have kept my mouth shut. We’re getting blasted for for the next couple of days with freezing temps along with the rest of the country.
No snow here but winds gusting 65mph, my conservatory roof is toast and they've shut the damn Orwell Bridge again, traffic chaos! Edit: Make that 83mph gusts and now stranded on the peninsula due to the one road out of here blocked (Unless I swim to Felixstowe)
