We've all seen those 3rd world aluminum casting videos, I was watching this one today and noticed something odd, I wonder if anyone else can spot it, it happens when he demolds the part.
I really enjoy watching these expert guys who cast all day long using only the most basic equipment. Not a wasted motion. And I learn something on every one. It was interesting on this guy to see him finger-and-spatula pry the pattern out rather than draw it using a spike or two, for instance. And he talced the loose sand to keep it from sticking to his feet. Denis
I agree with you, even though their set-ups are crude by western standards, they are nevertheless definitely professionals.
I wonder if they used molasses in their sand, like this other fellow did. His sand looked and acted a lot like this sand did - like a low-budget version of Petrobond.
