Man that is a lot of detailed wax work.

Thats a good idea. Sitting about 1/2" above the top of this on 4 little posts maybe?

 

Yeah exactly what I was thinking. Use the shape of the base of the larger roof as a template for the shape of the little lid to fit on the top. A post in each corner to hold it all up and you're set. You could hammer them in after pouring the larger base.
