Disused (small) Weber kettle, to address foundry-withdrawal?

    Well, then it may be good to just abrade it to a clean surface of paint and go for it.

    That paint should have no problems with your use. I would abrade it with sand paper and then, very important step, wash down a couple times with isopropyl alcohol, not a petroleum distillate of some kind. All petro distillates have trace amounts of heavier oil fractions which do not evaporate. They will never leave a truly clean surface. Isopropyl has no petro fractions and does evaporate fully.

    Thanks. Will a prep disk serve to scuff-up the enamel?
