My thanks to Jason and Kelly for all of these suggestions truly makes me grateful I found this forum. And of course everyone who has commented at all. Now if I could figure out how to spell I just might get somewhere. LOL I think I will try the probe today. I have two castings today but I'm not sure if I should go for pure copper or 90-10 bronze/brass. I have some pewter to alloy with but one has 7.5% antimony and the other was an old pewter pitcher with unknow metal content. Any suggestions would be great. While I search for mold temperature suggestions.
