I purchased a set of welding gloves ( https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01N1VJDIQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 ) and as they worked ok for my first time at metal casting...they kinda broke down after the first used. I am curious what gloves everyone else is using or can recommend.
Welding gloves made of leather do well. I use them for casting as well. Using a full face shield is also strongly recommended during the pour. Even minute amounts of moisture can cause explosions expelling metal droplets into your face !
not great dexterity, but can handle direct contact with 1000F DO NOT USE THEM WET you will get steam burns cant beat the price https://www.ebay.com/itm/2239902197...rand=Unbranded&_trksid=p2047675.c101195.m1851
