So I have a friend who brought a tool that he would like cast in aluminum. Since I am a ceramic shell guy, I don't see the use of creating a molds to make this project and ceramic shell it. I know I can do it quickly with the green sand method. Could someone create a post that lists some quick tutorials to making green sand and those box forms you use?
I have some flasks and greensand you can use, unless you want to get into sand casting. I also have a little petrobond. How large is the tool? I don't know of specific videos on making greensand and flasks. There are some threads on making flasks, I think mostly on Alloy avenue but it seems to be down right now. I'm in Galion so about 30 minutes away. I don't have the covid but I've barely been out for 3 months.
LOL I got tested yesterday for the Covid... I can show you my negative test results on my cellphone. How hard is it to make greensand? I have tons of sand.
Lots of videos on u-tube for sand and flasks, here's a couple simple ones. https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...43033E8163E53D5827EB43033E8163E53&FORM=VDRVRV https://www.bing.com/videos/search?...-20&sk=&cvid=C956286899A1469487D2E4EFAA483F54
