"As a spectator or participant, Down on the Farm Iron Pour is an opportunity to observe and add to the history of human ingenuity in the center of the United States, Decorah, Iowa."- from the website. https://downonthefarmironpour.com/ Anyone thinking of going? I am thinking if I do get to go, most likely would be Thurs-Sunday and I'd be doing ala carte for registration versus a package. Packages are on sale through end of April (tomorrow midnight).
way to much travel for me , and im a little concerned, I follow the Cast iron community online and they are a little too " artist " for me V/r HT1
It's only 2 hours for me driving one way, closer than any other regional event. Last time I was going to one of these pours I made a pattern for a small flask weight, not at all 'artsy' but I see where you are coming from LOL. That was a winter pour in Madison, WI and I did not have connections for lodging and a snowstorm was settling in so I passed on the 6 hour drive one way through blowing snow and 3 days hotel bill.
