is it just me or is this forum's colors HARSH, the white is just blinding if I dont have my glasses on (UV A & B) +.75... im not very blind yet V/r HT1
Ive been planning on changing the colors a bit, What will be happening in the future is that a "skin" will be applied to the forum that will make it much more professional looking and eye appealing. Im just waiting on my super geek/ nerd to help me out on it. Hmm nice banner you have there HT1.. Any problems with getting it? and can you post in the members arena ok now? I created that area in response to what member wanted to have on the forum, hopefully I gave you the space you wanted??
I am not so worried about the color, but rather more concerned about it all working right, and it seems to be working pretty well. A perfect-looking forum that does not work well is not of much use (to me anyway). There is a joke in the design community about an architect designing a nuclear plant (my apologies to architects; they do a great job at what they do). Engineer: Should we design the plant to meet all the latest specifications? Architect: No need, we only need to design it so that it looks like it doesn't leak radiation.
The problem I am having is that I can't see those light colors very well. And all of that light gray writing is barely visible to us old guys. (And there are a lot of us old guys on here.) Richard
Don’t feel to badly Rasper, I’m totally blind in 1 eye and can barely see out the other half the time. Not joking either. We aren’t get any younger that’s for sure. Try increasing your screen font size.
I have the same problem on a lot of other sites. Bloomberg Financial for instance. All of the price quotes are in light gray. I can't read them. If I set my Firefox to override the web page's colors and make all of the print black, it eliminates a lot of the page formatting. You have to figure most of those web pages are designed by twenty-two year olds who can read a newspaper from ten yards away. Richard
