Hello, I've enjoyed reading posts from you all. I'm getting back into foundry and machining play after a 15 year gap where I switched my focus to other activities like education, work, family, and home renovation. Now that my kid is old enough to wear safety glasses and talk I am hoping to join him in the sand box and pour some aluminum sand castles together or cast parts for toys and sculptures. I come from an art foundry background, doing lost wax in plaster investment molds and ceramic shell. I've done a fair bit with petrobond from wood and foam patterns but the smell and smoke bothers my wife, so I am hoping a pile of green sand will give me similar results and let my kid play too.
