I am looking for some fine silica sand to make green sand or petrobond. Where do you guys buy your sand? I have bought petrobond premade in the past and works well but I am now in need of much larger quantities. There is a foundry supplier about 4 hours away from me but will not respond to my inquirys. TIA
Landscaping supply company for 20Kg sacks for $20 Australian. Anything larger comes direct from the silica mine about AUD $400 for 1800Kg sacks.

I purchased 300# of Green Diamond sand from their Arlington warehouse and had it shipped to Houston using uShip. They were easy to work with on the phone order and 3rd party shipping. Cost was $12/100# sack. Shipping cost was more 5x expensive than the sand.
