Some time ago Denis posted about testing the strength of green-sand at home. In the movie at around 3min. 24 sec. is a test done in the factory, where compactability is tested, presumably this lets them know whether the sand has been prepared properly. This might be a useful test for you Denis, Cheers Charlie
They probably do a lot more than just that test but that is a good test for hobby or home foundries. Kind of the same thing they used to do when squeezing it by hand except they could feel the moisture level and clay level by the texture when they squeezed a clump by hand.
Nice video, but I am amazed that there is still so much human labor and barely robots. But enough workforce in China....
