Liebherr mobile crane

The crane lifts that I have seen usually involve extending or retracting the boom under load, especially when the load needs to be maneuvered into the side of a building.

About the only time I can think of that boon sections are pinned together like that is when you have a manually extended/retracted final section on the boom. Scrappy Industries on YouTube recently purchased a non-running Terex platform crane. After he got it running he showed how that feature worked.
