I wear a short leather apron to keep from setting my pants on fire from sparks. Been there, done that. Like this. Easy to wear and doesn't pull on your neck all day. https://store.cyberweld.com/blstlew...MI5PSCgvXY4AIVUB-tBh2fMAUSEAQYAyABEgIKafD_BwE
I tried full aprons and they just pissed me off always pulling on my neck. I wear t-shirts and slip on an old long sleeve shirt when welding. I have those arm thingies, but they annoy me too. It gets really hot here in texas. With the shorty apron, I'll even work in the garage wearing shorts. From the front, it looks like a skirt. SO I flipped it up once on the wife, she expected to see my wedding tackle, but only saw my levis jean shorts.
For me it's always the pocket of my shop coat that catches fire when I'm grinding. Once or twice more and there won't be a pocket there anymore, so really it is a problem that solves itself... Jeff
