From what I've read the mix is 89%-11% Cu to Al. How much can the Al be increased w/o becoming brittle ? Also does the mix ratio affect the color of the finished cast ? Thanks, John ...
AMPCO METAL This site has a lot of info, A-18 is around 10 or 11 percent Al, looks like that's about as high as they go. It has good color, but I've never tried to cast it. I made some 50/50 and it still had Aluminum color but was brittle like glass.
