Came across a really cool program. It's called VetArt.org . They offer FREE classes in a few cities around the country for active duty and military vets. This is a great program for those wishing to get started in metal casting without having to go through all the setup work and expense. I'd take one of these classes just for the experience if I had one close to me.

Hey zap, watch their patina video. I hope they do more of them.;)

Hey, I am a vet. Never got shot at, but a vet nevertheless. Which cities have classes? I looked at the web site and saw much mention of Fallbrook, but nothing else. I am in the general vicinity of Seattle.

I saw Atlanta, fallbrock, Oceanside and Vista... Give them a call and start one up near Seattle! I think it's a good program. Curious how they FUND it?

    Found this too.
"Since then the Veterans Art Project has offered Art activities/classes at 3 different colleges: Grossmont College, El Cajon CA; Saddleback College, Mission Viejo, CA; Arizona Western College, Yuma AZ."
