How many pounds of dross did you start off with?

I started saving my dross when I noticed adding a large amount of it to my crucibles still left me with a normal skims-worth of dross after the fact.

I usually always toss in a chunk of aluminum dross first when I'm going an aluminum melt since it provides some "surface coverage" to keep the molten metal from coming in contact with as much oxygen. But I have also been wondering about doing an all dross melt down to see how much metal I could squeeze out.

I recently got a giant cast aluminum pitcher from goodwill intending to melt it down...it has since become my dross collection bucket and I can't wait to see what I recover!

I'm moving to a new si-bronze supplier soon...my usual is no longer available. Getting some anxiety having to learn the intricacies of a new metal.
