  1. I'm a sculptor and expat American in Aotearoa. I casted at Alfred U and SIU bronze and iron, ceramic shell and resin bonded sand, I also have my MFA in glass (casting). I just got myself a mini propane furnace and wanting to start casting small bronze/copper alloy castings at my personal studio using plaster based investments. I have a small electric kiln as well.

I'm hoping to find some mould mixes and tips! I have a lot of experience with plaster based investments for glass casting.

    Nice to meet you all!

Welcome! There are several art casters here that use plaster based investments. You may try searching posts by Rasper, and Tobho Mott just bought out the equipment of a retired art caster who is also a member here that had a plaster recipe, but by memory, they were all mixtures of PoP, silica sand, and ludo.

    Best,
    Kelly

  3. Thank you Kelly! I had thought as much, same as a basic glass casting mould!
