After some trial and error I was able to cast a 1911 frame. I plan to next cast one out of gun metal to use for a 22lr 1911 project. This was done with ceramic shell a while back and I had asked on this forum about a way to easily remove ceramic shell from a casting because it was just about impossible to remove the shell from the inside of this casting... well I discovered it! Glass bead blaster! Borrowed my buddies and it removed the shell like a dream. Now I'll have to get my own!
