Hello, Does anyone use Microsoft 3D builder (possibly for patternmaking)? If so, would you be able to create a small 3d mode; (.stll format) from a scanned image that would be in b/w? The model would need draft adding to the sides. I ask as I am unable to obtain a copy of this freeware to run on Win 11.
Hello T, You may need to post the image and say more about the size and nature of the pattern needed before anyone could comment with more certainty. https://www.reddit.com/r/3Dprinting/comments/1fe6gyd/alternative_to_3d_builder/ the last comment from 5d ago mentions a way to get the software. I do not use it/haven't tried this so I cannot confirm it works.
A number of the robotic students I work with use onshape, a web based CAD program, supposedly a spinoff by engineers original from Solidworks. No software to install and a fair number of getting started videos on the tubes.
