New to me micrometers

    This falls into the "if it's free it's for me" category. One of my service techs at work texted me the other day and asked me if I had use for a set of micrometers. Um, yeah. Missing the zero-to- one inch and a couple of the gauges, but I think I can get past that.

  2. That's a good score, at least the 1" are dirt common to find. I was given this 4"-8" Mitutoyo micrometer, the box needed new plywood top and bottom and new felts, there was some rust on the length standards but not anywhere that mattered like the faces and same for the rest of it. It cleaned up really well and is way better than the alternative, which is no micrometers at all :oops:.

    I've bought 0-1" Mitutoyo tenths mics on eBay for my son and a friend with very good results. I love Mit mics.
