So my boys were pretty interested when I told them about melting metal. Like any respectable boys, the first thing they asked is if we could make swords. Why do boys always want to make swords?

Anyway, today I cut out a couple of arrowhead foam shapes and poured them so they could see the process and I could experiment with lost foam some more. They turned out pretty good.

Hey those are pretty cool. I may have to consider making one of those.

You'll have to make more than one. Bottle openers are neat giveaways. You can tailor the head to whatever fits the audience.
I gave those to the owner of Arrowhead Resort where we held our annual boat meet. I made 50 with a giant rivet to give to the boaters since our boats are riveted. A few were made with an anchor head.
    Quick and easy trinkets.
Here is a shot of where the gate is and how even a tiny one can still work. It was mistakenly cut that small.

I've forged some bottle openers. Similar idea, quick and fun skill building exercise that are easy to give away.
