In case Billy's not Johnny on the spot today, he offered this awhile ago: http://forums.thehomefoundry.org/index.php?threads/lodge-foundry-tour.1839/
Hey Tom...it fluctuates from day to day but I thinnk we average around 60 ton a day per foundry per shift so roughly 240 tons a day. I have seen charging close to ten tons an hour on heavier jobs but we usually dont have them ramped up that high due to serious overload on the cleaning and grinding dept. Our foundry has almost always been bottlenecked in the cleaning and grinding areas. I make a lot of friends in those departments when I work with the molding machine company (Disamatic) to increase machine production. Its amazing how 1mm of travel can cost you upwards of 30000 to 100000 castings a year. I have even had to speed up pouring so we could increase the production rates.LOL
